Sharon joins the OCG management team as a hands-on leader in Community Relations and as the Game Day Coordinator. She engages in day-to-day operations and makes recommendations on long range plans and in overall business strategies. She also seeks corporate sponsorships and offers advertising opportunities to businesses. As a 10-year resident of South Orange County, Sharon is an asset to the OCG through her liaisons of board, committee and community organizations. She strives to work closely with municipality officials, their representatives and recreational leaders. Through creative outreach, Sharon connects the OCG with the local youth by organizing recreational and educational programs such as basketball skills camps, dance classes, performances and special appearances. Her enthusiasm promotes the team and encourages game attendance. As Game Day Coordinator, Sharon is responsible for the planning of pre-game activities, special events, auditioning talent, and securing halftime entertainment. Sharon serves as Chair on the Local Leagues Sports Council and as a Delegate to the Aliso Viejo Community Association. She is currently serving her 2nd term as Alternate Chair on Aliso Viejo’s Parks and Landscape Committee. In 2006, Sharon was awarded special recognition as a Citizen Leader from the Mayor of Aliso Viejo and is named on the Aliso Viejo Walk of Fame. She volunteers as Teen Leader for the Corpus Christi Catholic-Christian Church. Sharon is a former professional dancer, director and choreographer. Her previous career included national touring with CT Opera, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Works Contemporary Dance Company, Sonia Plumb Dance Company and Hartford Ballet. Sharon has served in principle faculty and director roles for distinguished companies such as CT Ballet, National Theater Institute and University of Hartford Center for Music and Movement. Sharon has served as Director on the Boards of several arts organizations and is the incorporating founder of a nonprofit performance organization.
